This session was such a fun one for me! Ashley and Melissa are my cousins, and it has been so special to watch both of them start their families. Mel's kids, Bryce and Ellie Reed (after the Allman Brothers' song, of course), and Ashley's kids, Piper and Jacob, have all become such a huge part of my heart. Keeping up with them is an adventure in and of itself, so I was thankful to have both families there to help get the little ones to look at the camera!

   The white dresses are one of the most special parts of this session. Ellie and Piper are both in their great, great grandmother's dresses. It was a part of a surprise Christmas gift for their grandmother. The white parasol was a gift that their grandmother brought back to them from her trip to New Orleans and they are both wearing their great grandmother's (my Grandma Hope) necklaces that she left for them. I know these pictures are going to be such a sweet memory for our whole family.

One of my favorite things about family sessions is capturing the child-like joy of kids. Piper and Ellie are the epitome of built-in best friends, so just being able to capture the little secrets Piper was whispering or Ellie's slightly rebellious attitude show through her smile when we tried to get her to sit still.
